Stephanie Color Toning
For this color toning, I wanted to tone the image similar to portraits you would see in editorial fashion magazines. The goal is to have greenish brown tones, while still having a flattering skin tone. I try to make the skin not too green/yellow or magenta.
I start in Capture One. Here is was the image looks like straight out of the camera with no adjustments:
I then make adjustments to get a good base for the tone I want while still working on the RAW image in Capture One. Here are the adjustments I make:
After I apply these adjustments, my RAW file now looks like this:
Here is the downloadable Capture One Style. To install got to Adjustments->Styles->import….
Once I am done setting up the RAW file how I like, I send the image over to Photoshop. I clean up the image with the healing brush and clone stamp. Next I dodge and burn the image to remove any additional distractions. When I have the image how I want it, I color tone the image to give it that final polish.
Here is an action of the toning process I applied to this image. I would love to see what you do with this action. If you use it, Please tag me on instagram @benwilliamscott so I can check it out.
